Welcome to Star Falls. A small town nestled in the wonderful state of Virginia. It may sound like a lovely place to live, but every small town has their secrets.

In the early 90's a radiation outbreak filled the town of Star Falls. While most of the town evacuated, there were several families who decided to stay. After no side effects seemed to alter any of the people who stayed behind, people began moving back. The thing no one thought of, was to check the children of the people who didn't leave.

A small group of young adults have lived their lives with a secret. They all have mutated genes resulting in superpowers. They have kept it a secret from their parents, only revealing it to those who share the gift.

They've all lived in peace, learning to control their powers.

But what happens when one decides being bad is much more fun than being good?

 Dangerous Players

Power: Fire/Heat Manipulation
Ability to control the kinetic energy of atoms to generate, control or absorb fire.

Unlike most of the families in Star Falls, Janell grew up in a single parent home. She was once the it-girl but fell from her pedestal after rumors surfaced that the blonde was pregnant. Quickly everyone began ignoring her and she graduated early, fleeing to Washington where she spent time with her grandmother. (The rest of Star Falls assumes she was off giving birth to her illegitimate child) After arriving back in Star Falls several weeks ago, nothing’s changed. Rumors are still spreading like wildfire. Everyone assumes they know every detail about her life but it’s all false. The problem? She enjoys the popularity. So much, she lets people assume whatever they want about her. Someone says she sleeps with a certain guy, she won’t deny it so long someone is giving her the attention she craves so desperately. Being done with high school has left her out on her ass, not knowing what to do with herself. High school was her castle and now she’s in a whole other world without a clue what to do. Luckily for Janell, her mother is extremely supportive and has yet to push her in any direction though she has gotten her a job at Burke’s Diner waitressing.

Janell first discovered her power at thirteen. Home alone while her mother was at work, she was trying to cook something on the stove when it set on fire. Not sure what to do, she grabbed a towel in an attempt to put out the flames and instead it was as if the fire went inside of her. Afraid at first she quickly got into the shower, only to be able to start a flame on the palm of her hand. The first thing she did was tell her best friend, Celia, who took her to Colton Woods and now she couldn’t be happier. She loves the unique feeling she gets from having a power, and often she finds its a useful tool. Janell never found any problem with having a power until recently. She notices something…different about Celia. She’s darker, meaner, colder. Not knowing who else to turn to, she called Darren who coincidentally was having the same problem with his own best friend. Now Janell is extremely suspicious of Celia and Shane, praying to God it’s not what she thinks it is. She’s never said it aloud or heard any of the others mention it, but it’s a popular, unspeakable topic. A fight to end all fights, side versus side, friends versus friends, with only one standing and Janell will do everything in her power to make sure it doesn’t happen.
